This Privacy Policy explains how OmniBrief ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Omni AI Lab, collects, uses, and protects the personal information you provide when using our mobile application, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using OmniBrief you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

OmniBrief is an AI-powered note-taking and transcription service. We help users record audio, transcribe speech, generate summaries, and organize notes. Our service is operated by Omni AI Lab. For privacy enquiries please contact privacy@omniailab.com.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from those providers.

2.2 Recording & Note Content

The core of our Service involves processing audio content you provide. We collect and store:

• Audio recordings you create directly in the app or upload
• Transcripts generated from those recordings
• AI-generated summaries, action items, and other structured outputs
• Note titles, folders, and organizational data
• URLs you provide for YouTube videos, podcast episodes, or meeting links

Your recordings and notes are processed by AI models to generate transcripts and summaries. We do not use your recordings or notes to train AI models. Your content is encrypted at rest and in transit.

2.3 Usage & Device Data

We automatically collect technical data to operate and improve the Service, including your device type and operating system, IP address, app version, feature usage patterns, and error logs. This data is used only for service operation and improvement and is not sold.

2.4 Payment Data

Subscription payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of your subscription status and expiry date but do not store your payment card details.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide transcription, summarization, and AI note-generation services
• Manage your account and subscription
• Send service notifications (processing completion, subscription reminders)
• Improve the accuracy and performance of the Service
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to third parties.

4. Sharing Your Data

We share your data only with:

• AI processing providers — third-party speech-to-text and language model APIs used to generate transcripts and summaries. These providers are contractually bound to process data only as instructed and not to train models on your content.
• Cloud infrastructure — Google Cloud Platform for secure storage and compute.
• Payment processors — Apple and Google for subscription verification.
• Legal compliance — where required by law or to protect our rights.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data and notes for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual notes at any time from the app. You may delete your entire account from Settings → Delete Account, which removes all your data within 30 days. Backups may be retained for up to 90 days after deletion.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest on Google Cloud, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong unique password and enable device security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights contact privacy@omniailab.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. International Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. If you use OmniBrief from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US. We rely on standard contractual clauses and equivalent legal mechanisms for cross-border transfers where required.

9. Children's Privacy

OmniBrief is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us at privacy@omniailab.com and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via an in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
